B&K Precision (www.bkprecision.com) proudly announces the release of its latest model of oscilloscope, the compact 2530B. Intended to replace the 2530 digital storage oscilloscope (DSO), the 2530B is priced as an entry-level DSO. It features a 500 MSa/s sampling rate, bandwidth of 25 MHz and two input channels. The DSO is offered not only to satisfy basic industry applications but also to meet educational use.
The 2530B features advanced triggering capabilities, a 5.7 inch color display, digital filtering, mask testing, waveform recorder, remote PC connectivity, multi-language interface, a context-sensitive help feature and 32 automatic measurements.
Designed with a large internal storage, it enables users to recall and save up to 10 different waveforms from internal memory and 20 different oscilloscope setups. It offers additional analysis tools with its five available math operations –subtraction, addition, division, multiplication and FFT.
The USB device port located on the front panel allows faster saving of screenshots, waveform data and setup, or CSV files to a USB flash drive. The 2530B also features a longer waveform memory of up to 32,000 points, giving users more detail on signals and longer capture times compared to other entry-level oscilloscopes. Designed as a tool for training, professors can ask for a code to disable the AutoSet button to train students to manually set up the scope.
