GW Instek has launched the new GDS-1000 series of digital storage oscilloscopes that offers 25MHz, 40MHz, 60MHz and 100MHz bandwidth and 5.6″ color TFT LCD display.
Providing excellent performance between sampling speed and memory length, the GDS-1000 Series DSO features a 4000 point record length, a 25GSa/s ET sampling rate and a 250MSa/s real-time sampling rate. Accessing the data is also easier with its front panel that features an SD storage slot, which also helps save image screen shots or waveform data captured from the GDS 1000 series. An USB port also helps connect the oscilloscope to a PC.
About 15 waveforms can be saved into the memory that can be displayed at a later time. Two live waveforms and two saved reference waveforms can be compared simultaneously on the screen. In addition, all voltage related measurements and signal time can be displayed on the screen at the same time through the Measure key press.
The GDS-1000 series oscilloscope has also an improved 1kHz calibration signal, and its output frequency can be adjusted from 1 kHz to 100 kHz. Due to its flexible output, calibration output can be utilised as a necessary signal generator for other applications.
Meanwhile, 19 auto measurement functions and several acquisition modes provide accurate measure to the characteristics of waveforms. Its FFT and arithmetic functions able the user to know the updated measurement results in real time, while the advanced auto-set function enable the oscilloscope to automatically capture and display waveforms.
The GDS-1000 series DSO is also fully supported with Freewave DSO monitoring software and remote control. The Freewave lets the user remotely monitor the oscilloscope, as well as capture waveform data and screenshots. Through the USB connection, Freewave can also provide near-real time control and monitoring.
