Rohde & Schwarz (www.rohde-schwarz.com) has launched a four channel oscilloscope from the R&S RTO Series that seamlessly combines high acquisition rate, excellent signal fidelity and the first real-time digital trigger system with a two GHz compact device.
The R&S RTO1024 oscilloscope features a well though-out interface that is friendlier to users than before. It can also detect critical signal details that are missed by other oscilloscopes while delivering more data faster, allowing users to efficiently debug devices under test.
The oscilloscope comes with an A/D converter that offers the highest number of effective bits to ensure high vertical resolution. Its low-noise front-end provides precise measurements even at the lowest vertical setting.
The oscilloscope features the fastest acquisition rate of one million waveforms/s, enabling users to view even the rarest faults. Once a fault has been detected, users can immediately stop signal acquisition, and search through previous acquisitions to locate the signal activity that has caused the fault. Users can select the acquisition memory size that best suit the needs.
Its hardware-accelerate analysis feature instantly displays measurement results on the screen, while its digital trigger system effectively reduces trigger jitter. The oscilloscope’s touch screen user interface offers new functions that boost efficiency and enhance ease of use.
Moreover, its spectrum analysis function offers a performance comparable to that of a real spectrum analyzer, thanks to its integrated hardware, that includes a digital downconverter — a feature not normally offered in oscilloscopes.
The R&S RTO1024 also allows users to define span, center frequency and resolution bandwidth. Its time-overlapping FFT function allows it to precisely measure pulsed signals, and together with the persistence view, find even the rarest signal events.
