Clinkenbeard’s recent purchase of a new 6-axis metrology arm allows for the on-site measuring and inspecting of small or large castings and parts without having to move or relocate them, providing the fastest turnaround times and productivity for customers.
This technology increases speed to the maximum for the fastest rapid prototyping of new products.
The new arm also allows for reverse engineering, so that if original patterns are unavailable, the metrology arm can reproduce the original dimensions with complete accuracy.
The new arm provides the highest accuracy, flexibility and versatility, and measures and inspects products in a 3D coordinate system.
Clinkenbeard continues to invest in the newest products and machinery that give us a competitive edge by providing the fastest turnaround times possible for customers by allowing for the quickest and most effective methods of modeling, production, inspection, and when necessary, reverse engineering, explains Steve Helfer, general manager, Clinkenbeard.
Clinkenbeard’s new metrology arm works in tandem with all of the company’s 4- and 5-axis CNC machines, including its latest and seventh 5-axis CNC machine.
