Tektronix has announced the release of the RSA5000 Series mid-range spectrum analyzer, which is designed with a third Generation DPX Technology and the best RF performance of up to 85 MHz bandwidth. This provides the measurement functionality and confidence required in everyday tasks. It also delivers a dynamic range expected in challenging spectrum measurements and analysis. Analysis is image free and has been preselected to make no room for compromise between analysis bandwidth and dynamic range.

It provides as standard a complete toolset of signal and power statistics measurements, including ACLR, Channel Power, Occupied Bandwidth, AM/FM/PM, CCDF and Spurious measurements.

The RSA5000 series allows users to easily discover design issues that are missed by other signal analyzers. It features a revolutionary DPX spectrum display, which provides a livelier color view of signal transients that change over time in the frequency domain, giving confidence in the design’s stability, or allowing instant display of fault when it occurs. Its spectrum analyzers can be set to trigger in case a problem occurs and capture a record of varying RF events to enable it to perform time-correlated analysis in its domains. The RSA5000 Series compressed in a single package the functionality of a wideband vector signal analyzer, high-performance spectrum analyzer and the innovative trigger-capture-analyze capability of a real-time spectrum analyzer.

The series’ deep memory records all signals in an acquisition bandwidth. Record lengths differs depending upon the chosen acquisition bandwidth – up to 7 seconds at 85 MHz, 6.1 hours at 10 kHz bandwidth, or 343 seconds at 1 MHz.
