2D optical measuring device V-CAD rapid by Schneider Messtechnik

June 20, 2013 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik, a company in the field of production measurement technology, is presenting its new 2D optical measuring device V-CAD rapid – a reliable tool that is both mobile and compact. The workpiece can be positioned freely in the coverage field, and the measurement process is started with a just a tap of the multi-touch screen of the panel PC. Within only a few seconds, the device provides comprehensive measurement results, complete with reporting! And, not to forget, with a sense of accuracy and precision that sets a new standard in this category of device.

V-CAD rapid

V-CAD rapid features the following highlights:

  • Automatic recognition of ruled (standard) geometries without pre-selection
  • No need for manual workpiece alignment in the coverage field
  • Four-step motorised zoom lens for reliable measurement even of minute workpiece features
  • Measurement in a matter of seconds
  • High accuracy and precision
  • Mobile design
  • Ready to use: Unpack – Switch on – Measure.

The comprehensive standard equipment of V-CAD rapid includes a 5-megapixel CCD B/W camera and a  4-step motorised zoom lens providing  four different fields of view for spot-on measurement.  The device also features a multi-touch panel PC equipped with WIN7, plus a LAN and WLAN network port  and telecentric LED transmitted (diascopic) light illumination. The standard equipment is completed by a granite / aluminium sandwich design, an LED ring light for incident (episcopic) illumination, and a factory calibration certificate as a quality proof.

Current Digital Issue

A frequency you can count on There are few constants in life, but what few there are might include death, taxes, and a U.S. grid frequency that doesn’t vary by more than ±0.5 Hz. However, the certainty of the grid frequency is coming into question, thanks to the rising percentage of renewable energy sources that…
