Agilent (www.agilent.com) has unveiled another compact oscilloscope from its InfiniiVision 5000 series — the DSO5034A oscilloscope. Offering 300 MHz bandwidth, a real-time maximum sampling rate of two GSa/s and a deep memory of eight Mpts, this four channel oscilloscope also comes with similar third-generation MegaZoom III technology offered in higher performing lab and bench oscilloscopes.
Delivering quick and deep memory architecture, the MegaZoom III technology enables the oscilloscope’s display to automatically respond to commands as users pan and zoom the window or scale the +/div setting.
Its offering of valuable software options include I2C/SPI serial trigger and decode, which allows the oscilloscope to display time-aligned real-time decode of SPI and I2C serial buses, while its mask test option offers an easy and fast way of testing the signals for anomalies such as glitches. The DSO5034A can also perform a maximum of 100,000 waveform pass/fail tests per second in real-time.
Meanwhile, its CAN/LIN triggering and decode function also allows users to trigger and decode serially transmitted LIN- and CAN-based data. The application provide the oscilloscope with innovative hardware-accelerated decode capabilities, which ensure users that they will not miss an anomaly or trigger event.
The oscilloscopes segmented memory feature enhances available memory during data streams with long dead times in between activities. The application allows users to view all signal segments, while emphasizing the current segment. Suitable for analyzing signal activity related with serial buses, laser pulses, and bursty signals, this feature also allows users to navigate between segments to observe signal detail related to a particular segment.
