Agilent’s U1600 series handheld digital oscilloscopes

November 19, 2010 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

Agilent Technologies’ (www.agilent.com) U1600 series handheld digital oscilloscopes have a 4.5″ LCD color display, which helps machine user to clearly distinguish waveforms between two channels. The series provides a quality assurance and high performance troubleshooting tool for technical professionals in the installation, service, maintenance, and in automotive industries. The U1600 Series comprises four models: U1604A/U1604B – 40MHz oscilloscope and U1602A/U1602B – 20MHz oscilloscope. Every model offers a real-time sampling rate of up to 200MSa/s. Machine users can use the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and Dual Waveform Math (DWM) functions (in the U1604A/U1604B oscilloscope) to perform faster waveform analyses in both frequency and time domains.

The built-in 6000 resolution count True RMS digital multi-meter (DMM) is available with an auto-range feature, giving machine users the flexibility to perform fast and accurate meter measurements such as resistance, voltage, and auxiliary measurements. Moreover, the standard versions of the U1600 Series also come with a data logger function.

The latest oscilloscopes of the series, the U1604B and U1602B come in vivid orange cases, providing functions and capabilities similar to the U1600A Series.

Among the features of the U1600A Series include a three-in-one solution True RMS DMM, Real-Time Data and dual channel oscilloscope; large 4.5-inch color LCD display; multi-language quick help support; USB 2.0 full-speed interface connectivity; Full data transfer and remote control via PC Link application software; pp to 40MHz bandwidth with advanced triggering; up to 200MSa/s sampling rate; and up to 125 000 points recording length. It also features 22 automatic scope measurement functions; 6,000 counts of DMM resolution with integrated measurement functions such as ohmmeter, voltmeter, and auxiliary meter; and dual waveform math and zoom functions (additional FFT function with 4 windowing techniques in U1604A/ U1604B)
