Agilent (www.agilent.com) has released its DSO6104L oscilloscope as part of its Infiniivision 6000L Series. Since the oscilloscope is rack-mountable, engineers can easily integrate it with their current test systems. The scope features graphical Web interface and remote capabilities, which enable it to reduce troubleshooting and setup time for engineers building functional-test and design-verification systems.
The scope provides a bandwidth of 1-GHz and a sample rate of up to 4 GSa/s. It saves valuable rack space with its 1U-high 19-inch wide package features. Engineers can mount other instruments directly above or below it, since it features rear or side vents only, and has no top or bottom air vents. Each unit provides standard rack rails and rack mount brackets.
The scope offers up to 12 bits of real-time-resolution that increases vertical resolution and reduces noise. DSO6104L oscilloscope enables users to filter sequential data points and map the results in the screen. It also has user-controlled averaging capability, which can be used to achieve a resolution of more than 8-bits.
The scope supports SCPI commands and is designed with Interchangeable Virtual Instruments (IVI-COM) drivers, which simplify system development. Its I/O Library Suite allows easy integration and configuration of instruments into the user’s systems.
This four-channel scope maintains good timing resolution and high sample rates, while enabling users to capture non-repeating waveform signals with its 8 Mpts memory. The scope’s MegaZoom III deep memory and fast sample rates help find details hidden in complex signals and zoom in particular areas of interest. Fast waveform updates of signals can also be viewed via an external display linked to the scope’s XGA out port memory.
