Agilent Technologies (www.agilent.com) has introduced a four channel oscilloscope from its InfiniiVision 2000 X-Series that offers superior functionality and performance — the DSOX2004A Oscilloscope.
Featuring 70 MHz bandwidth and a maximum sampling rate of one GSa/s, the oscilloscope also offers a memory depth of up to 100 kpts, while its Agilent-designed MegaZoom IV custom ASIC technology seamlessly combines the capabilities of an integrated WaveGen function generator, oscilloscope and a logic analyzer in a compact package.
The DSOX2004A oscilloscope is specifically designed with a large 8.5-inch WVGA display to provide five times the resolution and twice the viewing area than its closest competitor.
The oscilloscope’s deep memory allows users to maintain a high sample rate while capturing long, non-repeating signals, and conveniently zoom-in in particular areas of interest. This feature also enables the oscilloscope to keep a high sample rate over longer periods of time.
With the MegaZoom IV custom ASIC technology, the oscilloscope can deliver a maximum of 50,000 waveforms per second, allowing its users to view infrequent anomalies and signal details clearly and more frequently.
The oscilloscope also features 23 automated measurements that include time, voltage and frequency. Its offered math functions also include FFT.
The oscilloscope’s segmented memory enables users to optimize acquisition memory when capturing data bursts or low-duty cycle pulses. This feature allows users to selectively capture and store significant segments of signals without capturing signal idle/deadtime. Ideal for applications including pulsed laser, packetized serial pulses, radar bursts and high-energy physics experiments, the segmented memory enables the oscilloscope to capture up to 25 segments on a minimum re-arm time of below 19 μs.
