Agilent Technologies (www.agilent.com) has introduced a two channel oscilloscope that provides the features and performance usually found in bigger oscilloscope, the DSO1022A Oscilloscope.
This 200 MHz oscilloscope has redefined economy oscilloscope by providing more capabilities, signal viewing and productivity. It offers a maximum sampling rate of two GSa/S and a record length of 20 kpts. Even at slower timebase settings, the oscilloscope can still maintain high-resolution acquisitions to enable users to view the details of the signals.
The DSO1022A is also fitted with 23 automatic time, voltage and frequency measurements. Simply pressing the Measure key enables the oscilloscope to simultaneously display the three most used measurements or the single-channel measurements on the screen.
Recording a maximum of 1000 occurrences of a trigger event, the sequence mode of the oscilloscope allows users to easily find glitches or other anomalies for better analysis. Users can also store the waveforms to external or internal memory.
The advanced triggering options of the oscilloscope include pulse width, edge, pattern, composite video and alternate channel trigger modes. These modes help users easily view and capture hard-to-find signal conditions.
The oscilloscope provides automatic pass/fail mask testing as a standard feature. This function allows the oscilloscope to acquire “golden” waveform and determine their tolerance limits to form a test envelope. It compares incoming signals to allowable range and automatically flagging it as pass or fail. This makes it ideal for service and manufacturing where quick decisions are needed.
The standard math functions of the oscilloscope include subtraction, addition, multiplication and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) with four different windows (Hanning, Rectangle, Blackman and Hamming).
