Agilent DSO6014L Oscilloscope

September 22, 2011 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

Agilent (www.agilent.com) has introduced a four channel oscilloscope that comes in rack-mountable 1U-high form, providing engineers a space-efficient manner of integrating oscilloscopes into their test systems. The DSO6014L oscilloscope offers 100 MHz bandwidth, a maximum real-time sampling rate of two GSa/s and a deep memory of eight Mpts.

This compact oscilloscope’s IVI-COM (Interchangeable Virtual Instruments) driver enables it to simplify system development and support SCPI commands. Its standard Agilent I/O Library Suite allows users to easily configure and integrate instruments into their systems, even if the system features instruments from other vendors.

The DSO6014L oscilloscope is fully LAN eXtensions for Instrumentation (LXI) class C compliant. It also follows certain LAN protocols, while adhering to LXI requirements such as an IVI driver software, built-in Web control server and more.

It features optional secure environment mode, which offers the highest level of security by making sure that the internal memory is clear of setup and trace settings in accord with the requirements of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Chapter 8. With this option, users can save setups and traces to the internal volatile memory or to the external memory device through the front-panel USB port of the oscilloscope, for permanent storing.

The high resolution mode of the oscilloscope delivers resolution of up to 12 bits in real-time, increasing vertical resolution and reducing noise.

The oscilloscope also features eight Mpts of MegaZoom-III deep memory to allow users to easily zoom in on particular areas of interest and capture long, non-repeating signals, while keeping good timing resolution and high sample rates.
