B&K Precision launches 2540 dual channel Digital Storage Oscilloscope

February 9, 2011 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

B&K Precision (www.bkprecision.com) continues to expand its portfolio of affordable dual channel Digital Storage Oscilloscopes (DSO) with the introduction of the 2540 dual channel Digital Storage Oscilloscope.

B&K-2540-Digital-Storage-Oscilloscope

Offering unmatched combination of value and performance, the scope features a sampling rate of 1GSa/s, bandwidth of 60 MHz, and a record length of 4000 point for each channel. Its auto measurement function and analog style controls make 2540 easy to use and ideal in debug and design, training and education, service and repair.

The oscilloscope is designed with PC Software that allows easy saving, capturing and analyzing of measurement and waveforms results. Unlike other oscilloscopes in its class, 2540 provides two 150 MHz high performance passive probes so as not to limit the measurement system’s bandwidth.

Its USB flash drive located at the front panel provides quick recall and saving of waveform data, setups and screen shots. From this port, users can easily update the device’s firmware.

The scope’s digital filter allows users to choose from highpass, lowpass, notch or bandpass to filter out unnecessary signal components such as unwanted noise. It provides a wide range of adjustable limits, which varies with the timebase settings. It also enables users to automatically adjust the timebase to view the waveform as multiple cycle or single cycle.

The scope features advanced triggering capabilities including selectable video and pulse width trigger. To achieve a stable display of signals, the scope also offers an alternate trigger function, which is commonly found in analog oscilloscopes only.
