Leading oscilloscope specialist Tektronix (www.tek.com), has announced a distribution agreement with multi-channel distributor of industrial and electronic components Farnell (www.farnell.com), to increase the number of products to be offered to customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Under the new deal, Farnell will distribute a broader range of Tektronix’s oscilloscopes including the MSO/DPO4000B and MSO/DPO3000 Series, adding to Tektronix’s product portfolio already offered to customers, such as bench oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, arbitrary or function generators, counter or timers, DC power supplies, probes, software and accessories.

The move is in line with Tektronix’s strategy to offer more flexible purchasing options and greater support to customers. Under the agreement, Farnell will work with Tektronix application engineers and account managers to configure test solutions, as well as consult a broad range of application test requirements with customers across EMEA. Tektronix will also continue selling instruments directly through the company’s own sales network.

In announcing plans to expand channel partner support, Amir Aghdaei, president of Tektronix, said: “Our customers have asked us to provide a range of selection, purchase and support options, tailored to their business needs.  With the recent launch of our Customer Care Centre, our own sales force, and now our extended distribution network, we are giving customers more choice and better support than ever before.”
