A modular way to analyze power signals
Dewetron showed its DEWE3-PA8 mixed-signal power analyzer. The front looks rather plain because function modules plug into the back. User controls are via touchscreen functions. The instrument is typically used for analyzing aspects of the power drawn by electrical motors, inverters, electric/hybrid electric drive trains, and so on. It’s considered a high-precision instrument (dc ±(0.02% of reading + 0.02% of range), ac ±(0.03% of reading)), dc current inputs ±(0.02% of reading + 0.02% of range), ac ±(0.03% of reading)). It accommodates up to 16 power channels. The modular architecture and user-exchangeable input modules lets the instrument analyze both environmental and mechanical parameters simultaneously. It’s also designed to be integrated into automation systems and test bed environments via interfaces like XCP oE, SCPI oE, and EtherCAT.
