GDS-1000A-U Series offers high sample rate

July 20, 2011 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

GW Instek (www.gwinstek.com) has unveiled a series of oscilloscope that offers high sample rate that could be maintained for longer periods of time without compromising performance. Designed with a crisp 5.7 inch color TFT display, the GDS-1000A-U series operates at 70 MHz, 100 MHz or 150 MHz bandwidths and delivers a maximum real-time sampling rate of one GSa/s.

The series overcomes problems related with memory constraints with its integrated MemoryPrime technology. This technology enables the oscilloscopes to capture up to 2M points of waveform data. Its Set Time Mark and Horizontal Page Skip functionalities, allows users to enjoy the full benefits of the oscilloscope’s 2M memory depth.

The series is among the few DSOs available in the market that offers complete data capture or remote control over an USB interface. The oscilloscopes are also PictBridge compatible. Thus, users can easily print images, waveforms and measurement results directly to the printer.

The GDS-1000A-U also offers an integrated Autoset function that provides users great convenience. Its latest Cursor Gating function enables users to identify an area with the cursors for auto measurement.

Users can also utilize the oscilloscope’s USB port and FreeWave remote monitoring software to easily capture data. With this software, users can conveniently save a screenshot as an image file, record movie files in real-time and enable waveform data to be logged. Aside from monitoring and recording waveforms captured over a long period of time, FreeWave also allows users to observe previously recorded waveforms.
