GW Instek (www.gwinstek.com) has unveiled a two channel oscilloscope that combines high sampling rate with a record length of 25k points to deliver the highest value platform among comparable products in today’s market.
The oscilloscope’s one GSa/s real time sampling rate allows it to accurately measure high frequency signals. Aside from helping acquire more waveform data in just a short span of time, higher sampling rate is also useful in capturing and observing single-shot waveforms.
Since equivalent-time (ET) sampling is more suitable in capturing repetitive signals, the 60 MHz oscilloscope also offers an ET sampling rate of up to 25 GSa/s. This feature allows the oscilloscope to periodically acquire data, with the sampling points increased by every successive sample.
The acquired data from repetitive waveforms enables the ET Sampling Technology to reconstructs waveforms accurately at a resolution of up to 40 ps.
The GDS-2062 features a Go/NoGo testing function, which checks whether a user-defined template has been violated by an input signal. The oscilloscope compared the template with the input signal in real time and displays the test result on the screen. A Go/NoGo violation is indicated either by a control signal transmitted to an external device through the Go/NoGo BNC output or by an internal buzzer.
The GDS-2062 oscilloscope can save up to 20 panel setups, 20 sets of waveform data and four reference waveforms into its internal memory. All the panel setups, waveform data and screen images can be recalled for display or be saved to an USB flash drive.
The optional PC software download, which can be downloaded on the GW Instek website, enables the oscilloscope to be remotely controlled.

I’m having some trouble with my GW instek GDS-2062 Oscilloscope. I’m not able to set the attenuation for the probes. I have run the calibration on both channels since it’s in a new environment with high humidity. I’m not able to achieve a square wave form. Not sure if it’s stuck in memory mode or what’s going on. Any advice or help would be wonderful!
