GW Instek GDS-3000 Series with VPO waveform display

June 3, 2011 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

Good Will Instek (www.gwinstek.com), has unveiled its latest platform of four-input channel 350 MHz oscilloscope, the GDS-3000 Series. Offering a maximum real-time sampling rate of five GSa/s, the new series also features a VPO waveform display.

With an eight-inch high resolution 800 x 600 LCD display, the oscilloscope’s innovative split screen feature enables each channel to be operated separately with respective waveform display and setting. Its vertical sensitivity, time base and trigger selection can be performed by each channel independently, while the waveform of every input signal can be viewed on the screen’s individual part. The oscilloscope’s almost four-DSO-in-one feature is useful for applications that require the simultaneous viewing of details of various waveforms.

Aside from Edge Trigger, the oscilloscope also provides various trigger functions, such as Pulse Width, Video, Rise Time & Fall Time, Delay by Time, Alternate, Hold-Off and Delay by Event. The VPO signal processing & display, flexible trigger function and high sampling rate all together make this new oscilloscope a potent tool for waveform capture and display of different types of signals.

The Auto Range function of the oscilloscope automatically adjusts the vertical scale and/or the time base of displayed waveform when the amplitude and/or frequency of input signal alter. This provides users the convenience of having a DSO that always displays waveform on the screen, monitoring the amplitude and frequency changes of the input signal.

The oscilloscope’s Window Zoom function offers dual display mode to allow users to view the main waveform, as well as the magnified portion of zoomed-in waveform.
