GW Instek GRS-6052A oscilloscope offers analog and digital storage features

January 17, 2012 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

GW Instek (www.gwinstek.com) has introduced a dual channel oscilloscope from the GRS-6000A Series of real-time/digital storage oscilloscope that packs analog as well as digital storage features in a single product. The GRS-6052A oscilloscope is extremely useful for applications that simultaneously require for waveform storage and real-time measurement functions.

It features an equivalent time sampling rate of up to 500 MSa/s, which enables it to accurately reconstruct up to 50 MHz waveforms. A single press of the RUN STOP button allows the oscilloscope to conveniently capture waveforms and save up to 10 reference waveforms for waveform comparison. Featuring proven analog technology, various functions, such as Pre-Trigger, Average, X-Y mode and Roll mode, deliver the flexibility of digital features.

The pre-trigger function of the oscilloscope allows users to view up to 10 divisions of pre-triggered waveforms ahead of the trigger point, while the ROLL mode enables users to easily see the input signal’s low-speed transient events. Rolling the waveform from right to left will continuously show input signal at a maximum roll time of 100s/division.

In addition, the ALT-MAG function of the oscilloscope allows users to expand waveforms by five, 10 or 20 times for more detailed waveform observation. The oscilloscope also enables users to simultaneously view both the expanded waveform as well as the original waveform.

Using the remote control software via the RS-232C interface, users can view and update the waveforms on the oscilloscope’s screen into a PC screen. Offering an easy platform for remote control, the graphic user interface can also convert waveform data into PCX, BMP, PNG, TIFF or JPEG files for analysis and documentation.
