LeCroy (www.lecroy.com) has released its WaveSurfer MXs-B and MSO MXs-B oscilloscopes series featuring bandwidth from 200 MHz to 1 GHz. The series provides a sample rate of up to 10 GS/s and 25 Mpts memory. It is designed with set enhancements, which feature a Sequence Mode data acquisition capability.
The new memory and sample rate make WaveSurfer the performance leader in its category. This performance, together with debug tools such as WaveScan Search and Find, WaveStream Fast Viewing Mode, a number of serial data trigger and decode packages, as well as the report generator and LabNotebook documentation, make WaveSurfer MXs-B a versatile and flexible instrument. The MSO MXs-B series is designed with 18 digital channels that can sample at 1 GS/s for debugging digital and analogue mixed signal systems.
A wide display is vital to understanding circuit behaviors, particularly when working with a combination of digital, analogue and serial data signals. WaveSurfer uses a bright, big 10.4in color screen to make room for everything, including time-correlated views of non-time domain analysis and mixed-signal systems.
Many oscilloscopes in the market today provide long memory, but going beyond displaying and capturing the data causes the instrument to be unresponsive and bog down. The WaveSurfer never becomes unresponsive with long memory, even when displaying measurements, FFTs and serial data decodes. The WaveSurfer MXs-B and MSO MXs-B architecture enables users to control their measurements and does not make them wait for complex measurements or calculations to complete.
WaveSurfer MXs-B and the MSO MXs-B provide tools for trigger and decode of various set of popular serial data signals such as SPI, I2C, CAN, UART, LIN, FlexRay, ARINC 429, USB, MIL-STD-1553, DigRF3G, MIPI D-PHY and Digital Audio.
