LeCroy WaveRunner 640Zi Oscilloscope

June 10, 2011 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

LeCroy (www.lecroy.com) has introduced one of the oscilloscopes from the WaveRunner 6 Zi Series, the WaveRunner 640Zi. This four GHz oscilloscope offers four input channels and a real-time sampling rate of up to 40 GS/s.

One of the most versatile oscilloscopes in its category, the WaveRunner 640Zi delivers unrivalled performance, as it helps users finish the job accurately and quickly.

The oscilloscope provides a powerful set of feature that include a vast array of application packages, a user interface designed for easy navigation, advanced triggering to isolate events, lightning-fast performance and a broad range of probing options.

With more than 17 decode, trigger and compliance solutions, the WaveRunner 640Zi can address issues with unique, automated tools and powerful views. Its innovative measurement toolset, the ProtoSync, seamlessly blends a simultaneous data link layer decode view with the oscilloscope view on a single instrument.

The oscilloscope also offers pristine signal path that provides outstanding signal fidelity with low noise, which is augmented by a timebase delay and huge offset adjustment. This allows amplifier performance assessment as well as zooming on horizontal and vertical signal characteristics.

Its WavePilot control menu offers convenient control of Decode, Cursors, History, WaveScan, Spectrum and LabNotebook through their respective function buttons.

The center of the WavePilot control area features a joystick-like knob known as the SuperKnob. This helps users easily navigate through zoom, tables and position waveforms and quickly annotate and document setups.

The WaveRunner 640Zi also comes with a large 12.1” high resolution WXGA screen.
