LeCroy WaveRunner 64MXI-A oscilloscope

October 21, 2011 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

LeCroy (www.lecroy.com) has unveiled its most complete “problem solving” oscilloscope that comes with an unbelievable large 10.4-inch color touch screen display and a footprint of only six inches, the WaveRunner 64MXI-A oscilloscope.

This space efficient oscilloscope offers 600 MHz bandwidth, four input channels and sampling rate of up to five GS/s.

The most capable and powerful oscilloscope in its class, the WaveRunner 64MXI-A features a basic system validation that utilizes fast viewing modes, advanced triggers, serial decodes or measurement parameter that are easy and simple.

Its WaveStream Fast Viewing mode delivers a lively, analog-like feel comparable to a phosphor trace. This feature allows users to toggle between the real-time modes and the LeCroy WaveStream, or adjust the “trace” intensity using the front panel control. With the high sampling rate, this mode also allows users to characterize rise time, signal shape, overshoot and others. Users can also verify the absence or presence of high-speed transients.

The oscilloscope’s sequence mode enables users to divide the acquisition memory into segments and acquire events of interest over long periods of time, allowing users to view and analyze the segments individually.

Completely customizable, the oscilloscope permits users to create their own math functions or measurement parameters using MATLAB, Excel or VBScripts.

Its excellent signal integrity and overdrive recovery makes the WaveRunner 64MXI-A ideal for high-voltage switching loss, switching poser supply, ripple, conduct loss and other amplifier measurements.

The oscilloscope’s measure, math and analysis tools have been tightly integrated with basic oscilloscope operations, making it easy to expand understanding and link capabilities.
