LeCroy WaveSurfer 44MXs-B offers 400 MHz

December 14, 2011 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

LeCroy (www.lecroy.com) has unveiled a four channel, 400 MHz oscilloscope that can capture huge amounts of data at high sampling rates. Unlike other large memory oscilloscopes that bogs down when processing or displaying the data captured, the WaveSurfer 44MXs-B delivers fast processing of large memory even when using measurement and math functions.

Measuring just six-inch deep, the oscilloscope offers a sampling rate of five GS/s and a bright 10.4-inch display.

Its WaveScan Advanced Search function allows the oscilloscope to search in a single acquisition utilizing over 20 different criteria. This feature not only allows users to set up a Scan condition, but also enables the oscilloscope to scan for an event for hours or even days.

The oscilloscope can easily measure and analyze the aspects of a waveform using 18 math functions, which includes enhanced resolution, averaging, FFT and 23 measurement parameters. Aside from measuring waveforms, the oscilloscope also offers histocons and statistics to indicate how the waveforms change over a certain period of time.

The WaveStream Fast Viewing Mode of WaveSurfer 44MXs-B offers a vibrant, intensity graded display and a fast update that closely simulate an analog oscilloscope.

The oscilloscope also comes with a transparent, smooth and easy to operate GUI. Its touch screen enables users to quickly access all triggers, measurement parameter and math functions or zoom in all channels to the areas of interest.

The WaveSurfer 44MXs-B’s LabNotebook feature offers a report generation tool that allows users to document and save settings, displayed waveforms as well as screen images, effectively eliminating the need to navigate various menus just to independently save the files.
