At NI Week 2012, there is much buzz about NI LabVIEW’s CompactRio and its software support. The Rio is an interchangeable system that can hold 8 modules in its platform with 50 different modules to choose from. Thus, a user can have over 1 billion combinations to tailor their specific design parameters. The Rio does not dissipate much heat and draws about just as much power as a 60 W light bulb. Therefore, the Rio’s design is made specifically to save energy and consume less power.
Along with the Rio, the CompactDAQ was designed to meet the trend of capable system support for scalable, flexible and readily intelligent systems, such as in-vehicle logging. Users of the DAQ can monitor systems and retrieve data by their mobile devices in real-time, because of FPGA technology, which is used for fast transitions.
To further the DAQ’s technology, it is assessable for cloud technology. Use of a cloud allows users unlimited space for distributed measurable application (e.g. turbine, in-vehicle, pipeline, environmental, and structural (bridges) monitoring). The technical data cloud integrates with LabVIEW within the LabVIEW experience. Users can send data into the cloud, which makes the data universally assessable.
