Shaking things up with a shaker table
What you see here next to Brüel & Kjaer’s Brady Hiob is a 3D-printed model of B&K’s LDS V8900 shaker table. The real one is big enough to hold something the size of a clothes washer. Among its claim’s to fame are the use of air cooling, rather than water cooling, and an ability to shake small payloads at up to 3 kHz. Other interesting metrics include an ability to apply 80 kN of sine force to heavy payloads and a 101.6-mm displacement for low-frequency tests and shocks.
