Pico Technology (www.picotech.com) offers an inexpensive oscilloscope that delivers all the power needed for various applications, whether it is research, design, education, test as well as service or repair.
Featuring 50 MHz bandwidth, the PicoScope 2206 USB oscilloscope comes in a compact package and offers a buffer memory of 24 kS, eight bits vertical resolution and rise time of seven ns.
This dual channel oscilloscope delivers a maximum sampling rate of 500 MS/s, in single shot and up to five GS/s in repetitive signals.
Aside from the usual edge, the oscilloscope’s advance trigger functions also include falling, rising, window, hysteresis, pulse width, window dropout, window pulse width, logic, interval and delayed.
Its PicoScope software for Windows, which is also featured in the company’s high-end oscilloscope, allows the PicoScope 2206 to be used as a spectrum analyzer, multimeter, arbitrary waveform generator and function generator.
In addition, the PicoScope 2206 eliminates the need for batteries or an additional power supply as it derives its power from the USB 2.0 interface. The USB port also provides high-speed data to the PC, providing users a responsive high-resolution display.
Meanwhile, its built-in function generator allows users to produce standard waveforms such as triangle square and sine from a library of stored waveforms. It also allows users to define their own waveforms utilizing the power of the integrated arbitrary waveform generator (AWG).
