PicoScope 3206A offers large buffer memory with high sampling rate

April 18, 2012 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

Pico Technology (www.picotech.com) has introduced a 200 MHz oscilloscope from its PicoScope 3000 Series that seamlessly combines impressive sampling rate with a large buffer memory.

The PicoScope 3206A offers a maximum sampling rate of 500 MS/s, which can be optimized using its equivalent time sampling (ETS) mode to 10 GS/s. This allows users to conveniently view even the tiniest details of the signal.

Unlike to other oscilloscopes, the PicoScope 3206A offers a deep memory of 64 MS, which allows the oscilloscope to sample at high rates on long timebases.

The oscilloscope’s deep memory also enables it to capture thousands of frames of uninterrupted data, making it ideally suited for serial decoding. With the oscilloscope, users can decode data from a serial bus like RS232/UART, I²C, CAN and SPI bus.

The dual channel USB oscilloscope features a vertical resolution of eight bits. It also delivers outstanding performance and ease of use, while allowing users to enjoy full processing capabilities of the PC, familiar graphic interfaces and large screens.

With the oscilloscope’s industry-leading zoom controls and maximum zoom factor of 100 million, users can easily view the details of the waveform. Meanwhile, its segmented memory eliminates the problem of seeing glitches on the screen, as it enables users to review and rewind previously captured waveforms stored in the buffer.

In addition to the standard range of triggers, the oscilloscope offers advanced triggers that include windowed, pulse width and dropout triggers.
