Pico Technology (www.picotech.com) has announced the release of its latest range of diagnostic scopes, the PicoScope 4000, which are specially designed to save money and time by making it faster and easier to diagnose faults on vehicles. This state-of-the-art range of lab scopes is offered either as part of an automotive kit or bought separately depending on the needs of the customer.
The PicoScope 4000 Series was specifically designed to capture signals four times faster as compared to other PicoScope automotive scope, which makes it compatible with the Pico’s latest FlexRay standard. The company guarantees that the scope will be useful for a longer period of time.
Aside from capturing signals faster, the series also outdoes other scopes with its remarkably large “always on” memory of 32 MB. Offering 64 times larger memory than the previous scopes, the PicoScope 4000 guarantees effortless capturing of even the tiniest detail of the signal. With this capability, users will never miss any hard-to-find intermittent faults.
External attenuators in vehicle tests are no longer needed with the scopes high ±100 V input range.
The scope is easier to operate with its familiar graphical user interface, reference library and help files.
Its large memory, fast sampling speeds of up to 80 MS/s and bandwidth of up to 20 MHz makes the scope not only suitable for use on all vehicles, but also useful in diagnosing faults in vehicle’s complex electrical and electronic systems.
