Pico Technology Ltd. (www.picotech.com) has introduced a dual channel oscilloscope that offers the ability to accurately digitize signals and with minimal distortion.
Featuring 250 MHz bandwidth, the PicoScope 5204 provides a maximum real-time sampling rate of one GS/s. In case of repetitive signals, the oscilloscope offers an equivalent time sampling mode that raises the sampling rate to 20 GS/s.
Unlike most oscilloscopes that features high sampling rate, but with limited memory buffer, the PicoScope 5204 offers massive 128 MS buffer memory, which allows users to capture complex waveforms at the full sampling rate.
With its innovative anti-slip case design, the oscilloscope can be used either vertically or horizontally, making it ideal for users working in an environment where space is at a premium.
Aside from the tough carry case, the PicoScope 5204 also comes with two 250 MHz x1/x10 oscilloscope probes, USB cable, a universal power adaptor and PicoScope oscilloscope software. Thus, users can take measurements almost anywhere with the minimum effort and fuss.
In addition, the supplied drivers and Software Development Kit enable users to easily write their own interface or software to popular third party packages. Its drivers also support data streaming functionality, which allows gap-free continuous data to be streamed through the 2.0 USB port directly to the PC’s hard disk drive or RAM at up to six MS/s.
