nVent Electric plc recently announced the U.S. launch of the nVent SCHROFF Rack Safety Plus power distribution unit (PDU), an innovative safety solution designed for both partially and fully automated test systems.

As a UL Certified plug-and-play solution, the nVent Rack Safety Plus PDU with E-STOP reduces lead times and costs, and eliminates risks. Choose one of several standard versions or quickly configure a modified solution with up to 300,000 options and let your engineers focus their time on application development. Both standard and modified configurations are UL-certified, which makes them superior to an in-house solution, and can be easily designed using nVent’s online configurator, using predefined components.

Featuring an integrated safety system, the Rack Safety Plus PDU complies with industry standards EN 60947-5-1 and EN 60204-1, making it an ideal solution for both partially and fully automated test environments. Designed for plug-and-play readiness, this PDU offers exceptional ease of use, rapid deployment, and certified protection for sensitive electronic equipment.

Rack Safety Plus PDU also offers: Online configurator to modify units within 5 minutes; Both Standard and configured versions orderable from qty 1; Certified and tested for immediate integration in customer applications; All-in-one system is 3U and standard 19” rack mount; Emergency stop designed to provide advanced safety, flexibility, and reliability for automated test systems in 19″ electronics cabinets.

Certifications of the product include: UL and CE certified, including modifications; The safety circuitry, including EPO, meets the requirements of EN 60947-5-1 and EN 60204-1 in applications with E-STOP push buttons.

nVent’s Rack Safety Plus solution is ideal for 19” Test Benches in areas such as: Test & inspection equipment; Systems & control monitoring; Prototype test & development; Real-Time Simulation; High-current and high-voltage power units; EV Powertrain Test; Hardware-in-the-loop test; Powertrain Testing System; Load Simulator for Electric Vehicle; Battery equipment test cabinet; Power Test Equipment.

Rack Safety Plus PDU is now available through nVent and its authorized distributors. For more information, please visit Home | nVent SCHROFF.
