RF signal generators feature affordable IQ synthesis

October 15, 2019 By Lee Teschler Leave a Comment

RIGOL’s new DSG800A models of signal generator provide support for internal and external IQ generation allowing engineers to quickly generate IQ traffic to simulate or validate their designs.

Available in 2.1-GHz and 3.6-GHz models with a starting price of only $3,699, the rigol dsg800aDSG800A provides the most capable and affordable IQ generation product on the market. Unlike some other manufacturer’s value solutions, the DSG800A provides internal IQ modulation eliminating the need for an external IQ source simplifying setup, minimizing expense, and ensuring system accuracy. Internal IQ waveform construction is supported by our free Ultra IQ Station software utility making the creation and generation of IQ data simpler than ever before.

“RIGOL is dedicated to making advanced capabilities available to customers who previously could not afford them,” says Michael Rizzo, General Manager of RIGOL North America. “Providing a solution with internal IQ modulation allows our customers the ability to quickly, easily and affordably generate IQ traffic and speed their time to market.”

For those needing high-performance RF signal generation without IQ, RIGOL has also added non IQ versions to its DSG800 portfolio at 2.1 GHz and 3.6 GHz. All models deliver maximum output power up to +20 dBm and low SSB phase noise of -112 dBc/Hz, amplitude accuracy of ±0.5 dB and frequency resolution 0.01 Hz at any frequency. An optional oven-controlled crystal oscillator time-base provides < 5 ppb temperature stability and < 30 ppb/year aging stability, the most accurate and stable available in this class.

The DSG800A is available and shipping now. Please contact RIGOL or any authorized partner for information.
