Tektronix MSO/DPO2000 Series debugs complex signals quickly

Tektronix (www.tek.com) has released a feature-rich tool that delivers the performance needed to visualize signals and speed debug of complex signals — the MSO/DPO2000 Series digital phosphor oscilloscope.

Tektronix-MSODPO2000-Oscilloscope-Series

This 20 channel oscilloscope features a bandwidth of 200 MHz and a real-time sampling rate of a maximum of 1 GS/s. All of its channels deliver a record length of 1 M points as standard, enabling it to maintain fine timing resolution while capturing long windows of signal activity.

The MSO/DPO2000 Series provides fast insights into the device’s real operation, offering complete visualization of signals. It also enables users to easily view glitches and other infrequent transients to reveal the true nature of device faults.

The scope’s innovative Wave Inspector controls help it achieve the most comprehensive waveform navigation and search. These controls, which are designed with a unique force-feedback system, expedite zooming and panning through records. It automatically searches records, according to the criteria defined by users, including digital, analog, and serial bus data. It also instantly marks occurrences defined allowing users to easily move between the chosen events.

To quickly find events, this digital phosphor oscilloscope has been equipped with an extensive collection of triggers that include pulse width/glitch, logic, serial packet, runt, setup/hold violation and parallel data. With a record length of up to 1 M point, users can capture thousands of serial packets in just a single acquisition.

The series also offers integrated support for a wide range of serial buses — SPI, I2C, LIN, CAN and RS-232/422/485/UART, which enable users to trigger to automatic decode in multiple data formats from triggering on specific packet content.
