Tektronix, Inc. (www.tek.com) has announced an expanded agreement with multi-channel electronic components distributor in the US, Newark (www.newark.com). The deal follows the signing of distribution agreements with Allied Electronics (www.alliedelec.com), Entest (www.entest.net), and Test Equity (www.testequity.com). Customers across the US now have the choice to work with four leading test instrumentation and electronic component distributors, which offer the full line-up of Tektronix test instrumentation.
These distribution partners will provide another 500+ sales engineers, who will be authorized to offer Tektronix’s high-performance oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, bit error rate testers and logic analyzers, in addition to the distributors’ current offerings from Tektronix, such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, counter/timers, DC power supplies, accessories and probes.
“To ensure we are giving our customers the support and advice they need when choosing a test solution for their application, the expanded partnerships will provide the resources needed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere in the United States,” said Amir Aghdaei, president of Tektronix. “Our partners have demonstrated their ability to provide customers with timely support and purchase options, and we are confident that their capabilities will only get stronger under the expanded agreement.”
“With expanded access to the Tektronix portfolio, we can be sure of meeting the most sophisticated testing demands,” said Jeff Uden, vice president for product management at Newark.
Aside from the previously announced partners, Newark will team up with Tektronix application engineers and account managers to consult on application test requirements with customers and configure test solutions throughout the country.
