Tektronix (www.tek.com) has introduced a compact oscilloscope from the TDS2000C Digital Storage Oscilloscope Series that offers 50 MHz bandwidth, a real-time sampling rate of up to 500 MS/s and a record length of 2.5 k — the TDS2001C.
This dual channel oscilloscope offers standard features that include limit testing, USB connectivity, data logging, 16 automated measurements and context-sensitive help. Its innovative proprietary sampling technology allows the oscilloscope to accurately capture signal without reducing its sampling performance.
The oscilloscope’s advanced triggers that include pulse width and rising/falling edge allows users to easily isolate signals of interest. Its advanced math capabilities as well as its automated measurement features enable users to expedite analysis of captured signal.
To increase efficiency and learning time of the operation of the device, Tektronix has designed the TDS2001C with intuitive user interface that feature auto-setup, auto-ranging and vertical controls that are easy to use. Its integrated help menu offers users significant information on the oscilloscope’s functions and features.
The oscilloscope’s front panel features a USB host port allowing users to easily save screenshots, instrument settings and waveform data. Saving user-specified triggered waveforms is also possible with the oscilloscope’s integrated data logging feature.
To help users with basic instrument control, analysis and data logging, the TDS2001C oscilloscope comes with a copy of the Limited Tektronix Edition of National Instrument’s LabVIEW SignalExpress.
From the users PC, SignalExpress allows users to log data for an extended period of time, automate complex measurements that require multiple instruments, easily capture and analyze results as well as time-correlate data from multiple instruments.
