Tektronix TDS3052C Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope

July 21, 2011 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

Tektronix (www.tek.com) has unveiled TDS3052C, a dual channel member of the TDS3000C Series oscilloscope that offers 500 MHz bandwidth, 5.0 GS/s sample rate and a record length of 10 k.

By combining real-time intensity grading and 3,600 wfms/s continuous waveform capture rate, the TDS3052C enables users to clearly view the problem and solve it.

Continuous waveform capture rate saves time by automatically revealing the characteristics of the faults in order that advanced triggers may be applied to separate them. Real-time intensity grading, on the other hand, highlights the signal activity’s history, making the captured waveform’s characteristics easier to understand.

Offered in a compact design, the oscilloscope measures only 149 mm (5.9 in.) deep, making it suitable for users working in an environment where space is a premium.

The oscilloscope is also ideal for users who are always on the go, as it comes in a portable design, weighing only 3.2 kg (7 lb.). Its optional battery pack offers users up to three hours of operation even without the benefit of line power.

Meanwhile, its e*Scope web-based remote control feature enables users to control the oscilloscope from any place through the PC and the Internet.

Its front-panel USB host port allows for easy and convenient transfer and storage of measurement data, while its OpenChoice® PC Communication Software, enables users to simply pull waveform data and screen images directly into Microsoft Excel or Word, or into a standalone desktop application.

The TDS3052C also comes standard with waveform add, divide, subtract and multiply math functions, 25 automatic measurements and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT).
