Tektronix’s (www.tek.com) TPS2012 oscilloscope features a bandwidth of 100 MHz, a real-time sampling rate of one GS/s and record length of 2.5 K. This dual channel oscilloscope is part of the company’s TPS2000 Series of oscilloscopes.
The TPS2012 oscilloscope is a versatile portable device that is designed with P2220 probes up to 30 V PMS as standard, making it ideal for engineers making differential measurements.
When used with P5120 probe, the scope is ideal for installation and maintenance engineers and for industrial power designers who are commonly confronted with high voltages up to 600 V RMS CAT II or 300 V RMS CAT III floating.
Using its unique digital real-time (DRT) sampling technology, users can characterize various types of signals on both channels simultaneously. This acquisition technology allows users to capture high-frequency information, such as edge anomalies and glitches which are not captured by other scopes in its class. It also ensures that users will get a complete view of the signal to speed up debug and characterization.
Its frequency domain analysis utilizes standard Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) feature to automatically reveal signal interference, effects of vibration and cross-talks.
TPS2012 also features OpenChoice software or CompactFlash mass storage which enables easy analysis and documentation of measurement results.
Its hot-swappable batteries allow users to easily use the scope on the bench, in the lab, or in field for up to eight continuous hours. The scope’s portability enables users to correlate measurements between power lab, bench and the field.
