Yokogawa Electric Corporation (www.yokogawa.com) has introduced a compact four channel oscilloscope that offers a maximum sampling rate of five GS/s and a record length of 6.25 MP per channel. One of the most affordable 500 MHz measurement system available in the market, the DL9040L DSO features dot density display technology as well as a vast array of analysis and trigger functions.
Measuring just 18 cm deep and 35 cm wide, the oscilloscope weighs only 6.5 kg making it easy to move around.
Unlike traditional oscilloscopes which feature simple superimposed waveform display that does not offer information when an anomaly or event occurred, the DL9040L comes with a History memory function allowing users to view and analyze previously acquired waveforms, even after acquisition has stopped. This makes troubleshooting easier while providing unparalleled insight into the waveform’s behavior.
The oscilloscope also allows users to choose the most appropriate memory setting for a particular measurement and then capture and display short and long memory records, saving the waveforms to the oscilloscope’s segmented memory. Its ADSE (advanced data stream engine) ASIC ensures that users enjoy all the benefits of a long memory oscilloscope, regardless of the record size allocated for every acquisition.
The DL9040L’s “N-single” mode captures up to 1,600 waveforms on each channel with just 400 ns dead time between acquisitions. The reduced dead time between captures is important in observing closely-spaced waveform events.
Its ACCUM functions provides fast repetitive signal acquisition rate of up to 25k waveforms/sec/ch, while keeping up to 2,0000 acquisition in memory.
