ZTEC Instruments (www.ztecinstruments.com), a leading modular instrument company, has proudly introduced its ZT4620 series, which was designed as an improved and updated solution for the ZT1428VXI, the replacement for Agilent’s E1428A series oscilloscope. The series was engineered specifically to deliver headroom and forward-thinking capability for future challenges. The scopes latest features and improvements include an increased bandwidth and 3X less RMS noise than the ZT1428. To simplify debugging and system integration, the new ZT4620 series also features the Best In Test rated ZScopeTM GUI. The scope’s other significant features versus the ZT1428 include segmented and deep multi-capture memory, FFT capability, more waveform math and acquisition modes, more measurements, advanced digital and analog triggering, comprehensive calibration and self-test functionality, as well as additional comprehensive drivers: C/C++, IVI, LabVIEW, PnP (Plug and Play) and COM.
This oscilloscope series offers total legacy instrument compatibility such as feature set, signal I/O, command interface, data processing, connector location and others. For example, to support a legacy CASS test requirement, the scope’s 30 MHz analog filter roll-off is tested and specified to allow a CASS TPS to utilize a particular signal response within the filter stop-band.
ZT4620 series key specifications include sampling rates of 10 S/s to 2 GS/s, a maximum capture length of up to 256M Samples, an input of 8mVpp to 50 Vpp ranges, +/- 250 V offset adjustment and an equivalent time sampling rates of 2.5 GS/s to 100 GS/s.
