GW Instek (www.gwinstek.com) has launched a four channel oscilloscope from the GDS-2000 Series, which offers 60 MHz bandwidth, a maximum real-time sampling rate of 1GSa/s, an equivalent-time sample rate of up to 25 GSa/s, eight bit vertical resolution and a record length of up to 25 K points.
Its fast sampling rate allows the oscilloscope to accurately measure high frequency signals. The oscilloscope’s higher sampling rate also allows users to acquire more waveform data in a short span of time. It is particularly useful in capturing and observing non-repetitive (single-shot) waveforms.
However, for repetitive signals, the better tool is the equivalent-time (ET) sampling rate, as it can periodically acquire data. The ET sampling technology reconstructs the waveforms acquired from repetitive cycles at a resolution of up to 40 ps.
The GDS- 2064 also provides a crisp clear view as it comes with a color TFT LCD display, which features reduced flicker, wider viewing angles and optimized brighter color reproduction.
In addition, the oscilloscope can simultaneously display four waveforms, signal data and measurement grids, making it easy for users to compare and analyze data.
It also features a comprehensive set of automatic measurement features, which includes 27 frequently used measurement items divided into three sections — Time (Frequency), Voltage and Delay.
The oscilloscope can display up to 10 measurement results and update them in real-time.
For stress-free operation, the oscilloscope offers an integrated help manual through the Help key. Pressing the “Help” button will display the oscilloscope’s on-screen Help mode, and pressing any key will reveal the instructions regarding the function of the key.
