Agilent’s U2702A USB Modular Oscilloscope

January 26, 2011 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

Agilent Technologies (www.agilent.com) has released the U2702A USB Modular Oscilloscope, which uses the non-proprietary standard high-speed USB 2.0 interface to enable users to configure and set up their test easily with its plug and play feature. It is a two-channel eight-bit 200MHz Oscilloscope, which can be used as a standalone module or as a modular device to provide compact solution and expanded capabilities.

Agilent Measurement Manager (AMM) software delivers a familiar front-panel interface for modular instruments through individual windows on a PC screen. AMM allows fast configuration and measurement acquisition including flexible analysis of measured data.

With the added IVI-COM drivers, U2702A is compatible with other development environments including Microsoft Visual Studio.NET, C/C++ and Visual Basic 6, LabVIEW, Agilent VEE and the Microsoft.NET Framework. The U2702A’s small size makes it perfect for standalone bench use and integration into system solutions with the U2781A chassis. Hi-Speed USB 2.0 compatibility provides easy and fast connection to a PC.

U2702A has made reviewing and capturing of configuration commands easy with the Command Logger incorporated in the AMM software. The Code Converter makes programming for users easy by converting the Command logger files to snippets of VB, VEE, C# and C++ codes.

Agilent U2700A series USB Modular Instruments was awarded the Design News’ Golden Mousetrap Award by The Design News’ Awards Program in 2009 under the Best Products Category. The program aims to recognize engineering creativity and innovation in product design.
