Agilent (www.agilent.com) offers big performance in a compact package with its DSO5052A 5000 series of oscilloscope. This two channel oscilloscope features 500 MHz bandwidth, a real-time sampling rate of up to four GSa/s and a standard acquisition memory of eight Mpts.
Integrated with MegaZoom III memory and display technology, the oscilloscope delivers a real-time update rate of up to 100,000 waveforms per second.
Aside from offering fast update rates, integrated serial analysis, responsive deep memory and analog-like display systems, the oscilloscope also enables users to easily identify narrow glitches with its 250 ps peak detect feature.
The oscilloscope delivers a vertical resolution of up to 12 bits in real-time single shot mode, which is achieved by serially filtering sequential data points and mapping the results to the oscilloscope’s display.
The oscilloscope also offers a help system, which is available in 11 different languages, to provide users quick answers when they do not understand a particular feature. By simply pressing and holding the corresponding front-panel key will prompt the oscilloscope to show an explanation of the specific function on the screen.
Its trig out feature allows users to easily synchronize the oscilloscope with other devices. Thus, users can now connect the oscilloscope to a frequency counter through the Trig Out port to cross trigger other devices or to achieve more accurate frequency measurements.
Agilent’s DSO5052A oscilloscope also supports analog HDTV/EDTV triggering for various standards such as 1080p, 1080i, 480p and 720p.
Its segmented memory feature helps users analyze signal activity associated with serial buses, laser pulses, and bursty signals like radar. It also allows users to view an overlay of the segmented signal including the serial decode.
