B&K 2540B oscilloscope offers unmatched performance and value

January 3, 2012 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

B&K Precision (www.bkprecision.com) has introduced a 60 MHz oscilloscope that offers an unrivalled combination of value and performance. With a maximum sampling rate of one GSa/s, the B&K 2540B oscilloscope combines analog style controls with an Auto set function.

The advanced features of the oscilloscope, which include digital filtering, waveform recorder, FFT, pass/fail testing and automatic measurements, offers users with powerful tools when debugging circuits. Its deep waveform memory of up to 2.4 Mpts allows users to capture waveforms over longer periods of time and with high resolution.

In addition, the oscilloscope’s Comsoft software offers seamless integration between the PC and oscilloscope. This allows users to conveniently capture and transfer waveforms, setups, measurement results and screen images to a Windows PC through the LAN as well as the instrument’s rear USB device port. The front USB host port allows users to easily and quickly save to a USB flash drive.

The powerful measurement functions of the 2540B oscilloscope enables users to display as well as measure the frequency spectrum of the input signal. Users can choose from the five FFT windows — Hanning, Blackman, Hamming, Flattop and Rectangular — and use the cursor to measure the frequency and magnitude of the spectral component.

Meanwhile, the oscilloscope’s waveform recorder enables users to analyze and monitor long-term signal behavior by continuously recording data over longer period of time and play it back for post acquisition analysis.
