LeCroy (www.lecroy.com) has introduced WaveSurfer 24MXs-B oscilloscope, which offers advanced features such as powerful waveform processing and advanced math, measurement and debug tools, and high performance hardware.

This four channel oscilloscope comes in compact form with a large 10.4-inch touch screen display and intuitive user interface. Aside from measuring waveforms, this 200 MHz scope also provides histicons and statistics to show how waveforms change over a certain period of time. To facilitate understanding of all details of the waveforms, the scope features 23 measurement parameter plus FFT, enhanced resolution and 18 math functions including averaging.

With a maximum sampling rate of 2.5 GS/s and a memory of 25 Mpts, the oscilloscope can capture huge amounts of information even at high sampling rate. Unlike other competing scope which provides long memory but bogs down when processing it, the WaveSurfer 24MXs-B can provides fast processing of long memory even when using measurement and math functions. Even while processing data, the scope’s integrated software quickly responds to user inputs.

Using over 20 different criteria, the scope’s WaveScan Advanced Search feature enables users to search in a single acquisition. It also allows users to set up a scan condition and scan for an event over days or hours.

Its Advance Waveform Capture’s sequence mode allows users to store up to 10,000 triggered events as “segments” into the scope’s memory. This is ideal in capturing events separated by long periods or quick pulses in fast succession.

The scope’s user interface provides busy engineers with a GUI that is transparent, smooth and easy to use. Its touch screen feature provides quick access to all triggers, measurement parameters and math functions. It allows users to isolate areas of interest and zoom channels to a specific area.
