LeCroy (www.lecroy.com) has added six new serial data decoders to its portfolio of decode options: USB 2.0, ARINC 429, MIPI D-PHY (including DSI and CSI-2) and DigRF 3G decoders.
Moreover, a new PROTObus MAG (Measure, Analysis, Graph) Serial Debug Tool Kit is also offered. PROTObus MAG augments the SPI, I2C, RS-232, UART, LIN, CAN, DigRF 3G, FlexRay, and MIL-STD-1553 decoders and have a variety of timing, data extraction, as well as other measurements and graphing tools.
With PROTObus MAG, machine users can perform common circuit validation measurements such as calculating the timing between an analogue waveform and a protocol packet.
The tool kit also delivers the only graphing capability to extract digital data from supported serial data message and then plot the values over time as analogue waveform representation.
The PROTObus MAG Serial Debug Tool Kit gives insight into the serial bus standards that no other oscilloscope or analyzer can provide.
The package includes three bus utilization measurements, five timing parameters and two tools to extract the encoded digital data from a serial data message and present it as a waveform representation or analogue value. These are capabilities that are essential for industrial engineers who need to gain more insight about the serial data protocol under test and the way it interacts within other circuit elements in an embedded design.
The PROTObus MAG Serial Debug Tool Kit’s most powerful feature is the ability to extract digital data from the serial data message with the Message to Value measurement. By applying the Maths operator (View Serial Encoded Data as Analogue Waveform), the machine user can now view a plot of the data values with an intuitive analogue waveform representation.
