ZTEC’s ZT621 VXI DSO replaces Tektronix TVS621

ZTEC Instruments (www.ztecinstruments.com) has unveiled the ZT621VXI, a full functional digital storage oscilloscope that comes in a double-wide C-size VXIbus instrument. Specifically developed as a drop-in replacement for Tektronix TVS621, the dual channel oscilloscope provides an outstanding alternative that will address users’ obsolescence needs.

Offering complete measurement solutions, the ZT621VXI comes with extensive analysis and processing capability. Its signal processing functions in hardware includes waveform math, signal transforms and measurements.

It also provides a vast array of input signal configurations including DC offset adjustment, analog signal ranges between 10 mV and 100 V, 50 or 1M Ohm input impedances, AC or DC coupling, selectable anti-aliasing lowpass filters and sample rates ranging from five S/s to one GS/s.

The low distortion, low-noise oscilloscope provides true eight-bit resolution that enables the ADC to exhibit less than two code’s worth of digitizer noise, even at high gain settings.

The powerful gating and triggering functions of the oscilloscope allow it to synchronize waveform acquisition and external events at predefined time intervals. Users can easily synchronize multiple modules with VXIbus backplane clock and trigger lines. The oscilloscope’s powerful operational modes include trigger B functionality, pre-trigger and post-trigger acquisition, delay-by-events or delay-by-time signal capture.

With up to four reference waveforms non-volatile storage, the oscilloscope’s waveform storage is kept under power-loss conditions. The ZT621VXI also allows quick recall of test configurations using up to ten instrument setup rates of non-volatile storage. Common test configurations can be easily stored and restored for automatic instrument configuration.

The oscilloscope utilizes a VXIbus message-based interface that is SCPI compatible. It also comes with a Direct A32 register based access to allow rapid download of voluminous waveform data.
