Tektronix MSO70000 Series bags EDN Innovation Award

January 18, 2011 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

Tektronix, Inc. (www.tektronix.com) announced that its MSO70000 Series of Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes has bagged the EDN Innovation Award. For 20 years, Tektronix has either been a finalist or a winner of this award in the Oscilloscopes, Digitizers, and Data Acquisition category. It is the industry’s way of acknowledging Tektronix’s commitment in providing consistent innovation to the engineering community. EDN Innovation Awards started in 1990 with the aim of honoring products, technologies and people who have molded the semiconductor industry for the past year.

EDN’s editor-in-chief Rick Nelson said EDN’s 20th annual Innovation Award winners prove that innovation has aggressively continued despite the economic downturn. In fact, out of the 130 finalists in the highly competitive categories, 30 products emerged as winners. The Tektronix MSO70000 Mixed Signal Oscilloscope, winner from the Oscilloscope, Digitizer and Data Acquisition category, is the best example of what leading innovators can achieve.

The industry’s first high-performance range of integrated MSOs, MSO70000 Series of Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes offers up to 20 channels of measurement capture (16 digital and 4 analog) with its analog bandwidth range from 4 GHz to 20 GHz and 80 ps digital channel timing resolution.

“Receiving the EDN Innovation Award based on reader votes and opinions of the magazine’s editors is a special honor we hold in high regard,” said Brian Reich, general manager for performance oscilloscopes at Tektronix. “This industry recognition clearly demonstrates the relevance this performance-level mixed signal oscilloscope has on the electrical design community.”
