Tektronix TDS1002C-EDU comes with easy-to-learn user interface

August 10, 2011 By Test and Measurement Editor Leave a Comment

Tektronix (www.tek.com) has unveiled another member of the TDS1000C-EDU Series which comes with bandwidth of 60 MHz, a record length of 2.5 k and deliver a sampling rate of up to 1.0 GS/s.

This two channel oscilloscope has been specifically designed to cater to the needs of today’s universities and schools. It features a vast array of features and tools that are simple to operate and easy to learn, making it the most ideal oscilloscope for students and first-time users.

Since the oscilloscope’s familiar user interface is similar with that featured in Tektronix TDS Oscilloscope Family, students will thus learn to operate the most popular oscilloscope platform in the world.

The TDS1002C-EDU’s intuitive user interface comes with dedicated per-channel vertical controls, auto-ranging and auto-setup functions, while its integrated Help menu offers users with vital information on the features and functions of the oscilloscopes.

Its front panel USB host port allows users to easily save screenshots, instrument settings as well as waveform data. Meanwhile, its rear-panel USB device port allows for PC connectivity, allowing users to capture, analyze and save measurement results. Its OpenChoice PC Communications Software enables users to simply pull waveform data and screen images directly into Microsoft Excel and Word or into stand-alone desktop application. Users can also print images using PictBridge compatible printer.

The TDS1002C-EDU also comes with an Educational Resource CD packed with tools to help students easily master the use of an oscilloscope. The CD includes an Instructor’s Guide, two Primers and two Student Labs Guides.
