Tektronix (www.tek.com) has introduced another oscilloscope from the family of TPS2000 oscilloscopes, the TPS2014B. This four channel oscilloscope delivers 100 MHz bandwidth, a maximum real-time sampling rate of 1.0 GS/s and record length of 2.5 K.
Offering a unique set of capabilities, the TPS2014B features familiar and easy to use menus and controls. Its IsolatedChannel technology allows users to measure without worrying about damaging circuitry.
With battery power as a standard feature, the TPS2014B oscilloscope is a natural choice for field applications. Featuring the longest continuous battery life, this highly mobile oscilloscope can be used in the lab, on the bench, or in the field. TPS2014B oscilloscope’s hot-swappable batteries allow users to experience unlimited freedom from an AC power source.
The oscilloscope is specifically designed with a familiar front panel layout that is easy to use. Each channel provides a dedicated set of position controls and scale. Users can conveniently reduce measurement time with features such as autorange, autoset, probe check wizard, automatic measurements and context-sensitive help. Its backlit menu buttons enables users to work in various challenging environments.
The oscilloscope’s Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) feature quickly reveals crosstalk, signal interference and the effects of vibration. Meanwhile, measurement results can be easily documented with its CompactFlash mass storage.
The TPS2014B also comes with a free copy of the Tektronix Edition of National Instrument’s LabVIEW SignalExpress software for data logging, basic instrument control and analysis. The software’s optional Professional Edition provides more than 200 integrated functions that deliver additional signal processing, limit testing, sweeping and advanced analysis, as well as user-defined step capabilities.
