As promised, I am striving to keep all readers updated on the current student loan reductions for engineers. I am supplying this link for all to see how their loan repayment situation can be resolved.
Once again, good luck to you.

This isn’t a bill solely for Engineers, nor are the IBR or ICR plans offered through the Dept of Ed. These are offered to ALL qualified federal student loan borrowers.
And no, there is no specific bill anywhere in the House or Senate that will forgive student loan debt for Engineers, Engineering students, or anything related to Engineers. All the bills are broad in nature, and do not address a single occupation – they are for everyone. The repayment plans are current, and are hardly any help, unless you consider “help” to be forgiveness AFTER 25 years of crawling through life in a job. You still pay a portion of your income to your student debt; a portion that would have otherwise been used for savings or retirement. This offers no real help, because people will be pushed to the limit for 25 years, with no ability to save extra money….for anything. Please get your facts straight before straying people amiss.
And as far as the “bills” go that are stuck in Congress, see the link below. These are all of the current bills related to student loans that are stuck in the House or Senate action committees. In most instances, any of the more lucrative bills (H.R. 4170 & S. 1060) will never pass through Congress. Ever.

Good comment Mark; however, in 2008, H.R. 4137 (110th): Higher Education Opportunity Act was signed into legislation. We are just waiting for the reduction to come to fruition.
I have provided the link below. The sections are lengthy and includes many professions. The bill is worth reading.
