Anritsu Co. says it is the first test company to earn GCF approval for more than 80% of Cat-M1 RF conformance test cases for frequencies used in Japan, North America, and Europe. The test cases can be integrated into the LTE-Advanced RF Conformance Test System ME7873LA.

The Cat-M1 RF conformance test cases are software tools specifically written for the LTE-Advanced RF Conformance Test System ME7873LA. Installing the newly released test cases in the ME7873LA supports tests to ensure that Cat-M1 device RF TRx characteristics and performance are in compliance with the 3GPP standards.

A scalable GCF, PTCRB, and carrier-validated test system, the LTE-Advanced RF Conformance Test System ME7873LA automates RF and RRM tests supporting the latest 3GPP standards. In addition to legacy W-CDMA, the future-proof ME7873LA supports the current LTE-Advanced standard, as well as those under discussion. R&D test functions, FDD and TDD mobile frequency bands, and TRx tests are supported, along with freely customized system configurations for performance and RRM tests.
